The Myers' hillstream loach (scientific name: Pseudogastromyzon myersi) is a small freshwater fish belonging to the order Cypriniformes and family Balitoridae. It is primarily found in southern China and parts of Southeast Asia, inhabiting fast-flowing mountain streams with rocky bottoms.

Key Characteristics
Small size: Typically grows to no more than 6 cm in length.
Flattened body: Adapted for a bottom-dwelling lifestyle, the streamlined body allows it to move efficiently in strong currents.
Suction mouth: Equipped with a suction-cup-like mouth on its underside, enabling it to cling to rocks and prevent being swept away by the current. It feeds by scraping algae from surfaces.
