💥Schooling Behavior💥Rosy bitterling💥

The Rosy Bitterling (Rhodeus ocellatus) is a small, peaceful freshwater fish native to East Asia. It is known for its fascinating behaviors, including unique reproductive habits and its schooling nature.
Schooling Behavior
Social Nature: Rosy bitterlings are highly social fish that thrive in groups. Keeping them in schools of at least 6–8 individuals is ideal for their well-being and natural behavior.
Advantages of Schooling:
Safety in Numbers: Schooling provides protection from predators.
Coordination in Feeding: They often forage together, ensuring more efficient feeding.
Reduced Stress: Being part of a group reduces individual stress and allows them to exhibit their natural behaviors.
Unique Traits
Reproductive Behavior: Bitterlings have a symbiotic relationship with freshwater mussels. Females deposit their eggs inside mussels using an ovipositor, while males fertilize the eggs externally. The developing larvae are protected inside the mussel until they are ready to swim free.
Coloration: Males are particularly vibrant during the breeding season, displaying pinkish-red and iridescent hues to attract females.
Tank Recommendations
Group Size: Minimum of 6 to encourage natural schooling behavior.
Tank Size: A 20-gallon tank or larger, depending on the number of fish.
Water Parameters: Slightly alkaline water with temperatures between 64°F–75°F (18°C–24°C).
Tankmates: Peaceful community fish such as tetras or danios work well, but avoid overly aggressive species.
Their peaceful nature, intriguing schooling dynamics, and beautiful colors make the Rosy Bitterling a delightful addition to freshwater aquariums!

🚨🚨All packages are carefully packed and guaranteed to arrive alive.🚨🚨

  • Orders placed after 7:00 PM on Tuesday will be shipped the following Monday morning (we recommend placing orders on Sunday or Monday).
  • Live animals (freshwater shrimp, live plants, and live fish) are shipped only on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Shipping on these days reduces the risk of packages being held overnight in warehouses, significantly increasing the chances of healthy arrival.
  • If weather conditions are unsuitable for shipping live animals, I will discuss with you to determine an appropriate shipping time.
  • Automatic messages containing all tracking details will be sent to buyers.
  • Please allow 12–24 hours for tracking information to update on the carrier's website.
  • Every shipment is covered under our "Live Arrival Guarantee" policy.

If you do not agree with our policies outlined below, please do not make a purchase:

By making a purchase, the customer automatically agrees to the policies outlined below. Every package purchased from us is covered under our Live Arrival Guarantee policy.

Claim Process for Dead on Arrival (DOA):

If any animal arrives dead within 2 hours of delivery, please follow these steps to submit a claim:

  1. Take 3 clear photos of the deceased animal inside the unopened bag, near the shipping label.
  2. Send us a message clearly describing the situation with your package to help us diagnose the issue.
  3. Please allow us up to 78 hours to process the claim.
  4. Once approved, we will issue a refund based on the number of fish affected.

Refunds for DOA claims typically do not include shipping costs. This means customers will be refunded for the fish itself but not the shipping fees incurred during the initial delivery.

Circumstances Where the DOA Policy is Invalid:

  • If the package’s first delivery attempt fails (we ship to the address you have on file).
  • If the package is left outdoors for an extended period during extreme weather conditions (a tracking number will be provided after shipment, and you are responsible for bringing the package indoors immediately upon delivery. If the package is left outside for more than 3 hours after delivery, the DOA policy becomes void).
  • If the package is stolen (in this case, please contact your local UPS to file a claim).

Once the fish are placed in your tank, you are responsible for their health and survival.
We cannot guarantee the water quality parameters of your aquarium. If any issues arise upon arrival, we urge you to report them immediately.

It is essential to inform us promptly, rather than waiting 3–4 days or a week, to address any potential concerns.

We handle claims on a case-by-case basis.🚨🚨

🚨🚨If you do not agree with our stated policies, please do not purchase! Thank you for your understanding and support, and I wish you happiness, health and happiness.🚨🚨
